The BMW 1600 GT is a sporty two-door Coupé produced by the German car manufacturer BMW between 1967 and 1969. The model was designed by the Italian coachbuilder Bertone and was based on the BMW 1600-2 Sedan. The 1600 GT was equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 105 horsepower and was connected to a four-speed manual transmission. The car had a top speed of approximately 185 km/h and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds. The design of the 1600 GT was a combination of Italian and German influences, with a streamlined body and characteristic details such as large headlights and a low, rounded roofline. The interior was spacious and comfortable, with sporty seats and a simple dashboard. Although production of the BMW 1600 GT lasted only two years, the car had a lasting influence on the development of BMW's sporty coupés. Today, the 1600 GT is considered a rare classic and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for its timeless design and sporting performance. With a production run of only 1,255 units, it is a rare appearance. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
