Description

The Continental was the crown jewel of the Lincoln product line for years, attracting celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor. The Lincoln Continental Mark IV Convertible is considered by many to be the greatest car ever built. It is considered the ultimate American highway cruiser and comes from the golden age of tail fins and perfectly stylized headlights. The Lincoln was more expensive than its Cadillac counterparts at the time and was produced only 2195 times. The Continental had a striking and unique design with a long, streamlined body and countless refined details. The interior of the 1959 Lincoln Continental Convertible was very spacious and comfortable, with room for five passengers. It was also very luxuriously equipped, with high-quality materials and advanced technology for the time. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
