The 1958 Studebaker President was a luxury car produced by the Studebaker Corporation. It was the company's flagship model and was intended to compete with other high-end cars of the era, such as the Cadillac and Lincoln. The 1958 Studebaker President was available in several body styles, including a four-door sedan, two-door hardtop, two-door convertible, and two-door Coupé. The design of the car was impressive and striking, with wing-shaped fenders, dual headlamps, a huge chrome grille and a streamlined body. Under the hood of the 1958 Studebaker President was originally a powerful V8 engine with a capacity of 289 cubic inches that produced 225 horsepower. This made it one of the most powerful cars of its time. The interior of the 1958 Studebaker President was luxurious and equipped with many high-quality features. Despite the impressive specifications and striking design of the 1958 Studebaker President, the company was unable to sell enough cars to survive financially. The President was Studbaker's last flagship model before the company went bankrupt in 1966. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
