Description

This 401 Coupé is one of the 2 offered from this collection. The Bristol 401 is a British sports Coupé produced between 1948 and 1953 by Bristol Cars. The 401 is the second model produced by Bristol Cars. The Bristol 401 had a 2.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produced 85 horsepower. The car had a top speed of about 145 km/h and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 13 seconds. The design of the Bristol 401 was simple and elegant, with a sleek body and subtle, rounded lines. It had a distinctive grille with chrome bars and a large Bristol Cars badge in the centre. The car had a long bonnet and short rear, with a streamlined roofline ending in a rounded rear. The Bristol 401 is a sought-after car among collectors because of its unique design and rarity. Only 611 were produced during the car's production years, making it a unique and valuable classic. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
