Description

The 1968 Mustang 289 Fastback is a highly sought after classic car from the Ford Mustang series that was produced from 1964 to 1973. The 1968 Mustang 289 Fastback was a facelift of the previous models and introduced some new features. The car was equipped with a 289 cubic inch (4.7 liter) V8 engine that produced about 225 horsepower. It had a striking design with a streamlined Fastback Carross series and a long hood. The interior of the Mustang 289 Fastback was comfortable and stylish, with a number of upgrades over earlier models, including a new instrument panel and improved seats. The Mustang 289 Fastback is also known for its role in the 1968 film "Bullitt," in which actor Steve McQueen drives a dark green Mustang Fastback in a chase scene that has since gained iconic status. Today, 1968 Mustang 289 Fastbacks are still highly sought after for their performance, style and iconic status. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
