Description

The Maserati Indy is a Grand Tourer produced by the Italian car manufacturer Maserati between 1969 and 1975. The Indy was intended to be a luxury sports car that combined the high speed and comfort of a GT. The Maserati Indy was named after Maserati's victory in the Indianapolis 500 race in 1939 and 1940. It was available with a variety of engines, including a 4.2 liter V8 and later a 4.7 and 4.9 liter V8. The Maserati Indy had a unique design with a long hood and short rear. It also had a four-seat interior with plenty of space and comfort for the passengers. The interior was also very luxurious with high quality materials and advanced technology for the time, such as electric windows and air conditioning. The Maserati Indy was a popular sports car in its time and is still appreciated as a collector's item for its elegant design and historical significance. 1,104 units of the Maserati Indy were produced. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
