Description

The Panhard 17B was a variant of the Panhard 17 series produced by the French car manufacturer Panhard et Levassor between 1959 and 1965. It was a four-door sedan that replaced the successful Panhard 17 model. The 17B had a streamlined body with a modern look, including a sloping windshield and a large rear window. The interior was spacious and comfortable, with seating for five and a folding rear seat that provided additional luggage space. Under the hood, the Panhard 17B had an air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 851 cc. It produced 50 hp at 5,200 rpm, giving the car a top speed of approximately 135 km/h. The engine was coupled to a manual four- or five-speed gearbox. The Panhard 17B was one of the most successful models of the brand. Today, the Panhard 17B is a beloved classic among collectors because of its unique design and its important role in the history of the automobile industry. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
