The Triumph Renown is technically the name of the large Triumph limousine produced from 1949 to 1954, but it is actually part of a series of three cars, the 1800, 2000 and Renown models. Along with the Triumph Roadster, they were the first cars to carry the Triumph badge after the company was acquired by the Standard Motor Company. The Triumph Renown MK1 TDB Sedan is a luxury car produced from 1949 to 1954. It was the successor to the Triumph 1800 Saloon and was one of the most expensive cars produced by the brand at the time. The Renown MK1 TDB was equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 68 horsepower and a top speed of approximately 75 mph (121 km/h). It had a four-speed manual transmission. The body of the car was a four-door sedan style with a stylish and timeless design. The Renown MK1 TDB was a luxury car designed for comfort and style. In 1952 the Renown MK1 TDB was upgraded to the Renown MK2. Today the Renown MK1 is very rare. It is said that less than 100 of the 6,501 produced have survived. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
