The 1970 Rover 3500 S was a prestigious luxury car that was part of Rover's famed P6 series. This car was a paragon of advanced engineering and elegance in its time. This P6 Federal was an attempt by Rover to conquer the American market. The model was introduced in America in 1968. Notable features are the air intakes on the hood that you could manually adjust. For the American market, this Rover was equipped with the following accessories: - All-round tinted glass - Power steering - 4 power windows - Air conditioning - Automatic transmission - Full leather interior The American adventure was short-lived. The emission requirements were again increased and the originally American V8 could not meet them. Production ended in 1971 and only 2,043 examples were built in this version. This example was bought by a Rover enthusiast in 1999 (The article can be found with the photos) and placed in his Rover museum. The car was part of special collection of P6s. This Rover was purchased in restored condition. The restoration was expertly done. for example, all suspension parts and the underside were provided with the correct color. Since 1999 the car has not been on the road. Due to the death of this Rover enthusiast, it was decided to sell the car. The car has recently had a new battery, new oils and the brakes are operational again. As a result, the Rover drives, shifts and brakes. The air conditioning is present but not connected. Both interior and exterior look generally clean. To get a good idea of the lot we recommend you come to the viewing day.
