This Citroën HY was purchased at Le Marchand with the purpose of creating a food truck for Renzo’s delicacies from Amsterdam: Renzo’s on Wheels. To make the HY suitable for this purpose, the car was completely restored. During this process, the HY was raised and extended, making it possible to stand inside the food truck. Furnishings include stainless steel countertops, a counter, two refrigerators and a refrigerated display case in the counter. A 220V system has been installed for power. To keep up with current traffic, the HY is equipped with electric power steering and a Rover V8 engine. These modifications are registered on the license plate. All this work was carried out by HY’s Mooi specialist in Gouda. The total cost of this conversion was over €100,000. The food truck was valued and insured for € 110,000. Renzo’s on Wheels has successfully served on-site catering for several years, but it was decided to shift its focus to existing sandwich stores.
