Description

The 1986 Renault 4 GTL represents an iconic chapter in European automotive history, known for its simplicity, reliability and versatility. The Renault 4, often affectionately called the "R4," was originally launched in 1961 and continuously modified over the years until production ended in 1992. The GTL version, introduced in the late 1970s, was one of the more advanced versions and offered some improvements over the base versions. This Renault 4 is originally from Italyë which is the reason for a rust-free body. Two years ago the car was repainted due to dull paint and one of the best Italian interior restorers (Tappezzeria) replaced the original upholstery. All wear parts on the engine and suspension have been replaced and the car has been registered in the Netherlands. It is a wonderful voiture to own and drive. Despite its modest image, the Renault 4 GTL has achieved cult status among car enthusiasts and collectors, mainly because of its role as one of the first cars truly designed for the masses. Today, many Europeans fondly remember the R4 as a car that was synonymous with adventure and freedom. To get a good idea of the lot, we recommend coming to the viewing day.
