The 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 Holiday symbolizes the optimistic 1950s in America, a time when the auto industry was all about progress, power and style. At the time, the Super 88 was one of Oldsmobile's flagship cars, a brand known for its innovative engineering and distinctive designs. With its distinctive lines and wings, this Oldsmobile perfectly reflected the mood of the 1950s, when motoring was about more than just getting around; it was about freedom and flair. This Super 88 Holiday, a 4-door hardtop, offered a stylish combination of elegance and performance, without the B-pillar that emphasized the open space in the interior.

Under the hood we find the powerful 324 CI Rocket 88 V-8 engine, one of the first true "muscle engines" of its time. This V8 was an important part of Oldsmobile's success, with a reputation for smooth, reliable performance. This Super 88 still has its original oil-bath air filter, generator and valve covers, highlighting how well-preserved this car was. With only 78,400 miles on the odometer and only three owners in its long life, this Oldsmobile remains true to its original condition, a true time capsule of the 1950s.

The car still has its original upholstery, which adds to the authentic feel when you step into this classic. The interior exudes an air of nostalgia, complete with the working tube radio, which brings the past to life every time the music of the time comes through the speakers. Even the factory taillights are still present and functional, a detail considered progressive at the time.

This Super 88 is a wonderful example of a model that has been carefully preserved and maintained, and tells a story of love and care by its three owners. It also retains its original 1956 instruction booklet from Spaeth Motor Co. in Jerome, Idaho. This detail is further highlighted by the chrome trunk emblem that shows the car's provenance. Such details make this Oldsmobile not only a beautiful classic to look at, but also a special piece of history with a personal touch.

To get a good idea of the car, we recommend coming to one of the viewing days.
