Description

This rare Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Coupé, one of only 3,797 ever built, combines German precision with the timeless elegance of the '60s and '70s. This particular example not only retains its original two-tone paint, but is in excellent condition thanks to years of care. Equipped with a manual transmission, this coupé provides an authentic driving experience.

Impeccable bodywork and beautiful details

The bodywork shows perfectly maintained sheet metal with correct fits and the two-tone paint in mint condition. Equipped with original bumpers, lights and steel wheels with color-matching hubcaps, the car shines in its original glory. An ex-factory installed sunroof completes the picture and emphasizes its exclusivity.

Luxurious and original interior

On the inside, the dark blue leather interior is in very nice condition. The seats, mahogany dashboard, and original headliner exude class, while the interior is equipped with a period-correct Becker Europa radio. The carpets and controls are excellently preserved and enhance the charm of this classic coupé.

Reliable performance with unbeatable engineering

Under the hood lies the indestructible 2.8-liter generation M130 engine, good for 160 horsepower. The four-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, which combined with recent maintenance on the suspension and brakes makes for a driving experience as only a Mercedes-Benz can offer: smooth, solid and full of “wohlfühlen.”
