Specifications
[description]

This Ferrari Testarossa is a special specimen that is sure to appeal to fans of classic Ferrari’s. The early series of the Testarossa came with ééone high-set "flying mirror" instead of two low exterior mirrors. This design was the result of an interpretation error by a Ferrari engineer, who misunderstood the new European rear visibility rules. The result was a single large exterior mirror. These versions are called "Monospecchio" (single mirror) by connoisseurs. A second tall mirror was later fitted to this one, a modification often made by dealers and owners at the time to make the car's appearance symmetrical. The second mirror was often an original mirror intended for the RHD market.

From 1987 Testarossa models were delivered with double low mirrors, which makes this specimen extra special, as it is among the last "Monospecchio" models. Another distinguishing feature are the rims, which on specimens up to model year 1988 were mounted with a single central wheel nut, a technique straight from racing. This configuration is referred to by enthusiasts as "Monodado" (single nut). A Testarossa with both Monospecchio and Monodado is highly prized, as this combination is considered the earliest and most "pure" form of the Testarossa.

The classic design of this Ferrari adds to its appeal. The distinctive Rosso Corsa exterior combined with a beige leather interior emphasizes the timeless elegance of this model. Based on the letter S in the serial number and engine type F113A046 (no catalytic converter, Bosch KE-Jetronic), it can be determined that this example was originally intended for the Swiss or Swedish market.

In 1994, the car was registered in the Netherlands, after which the current owner purchased it from Kroymans in February 2001. The Ferrari is in a particularly clean condition and has clearly been treated with care over the years.
