Beschrijving

The 1970 Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior Zagato is a special appearance, both in terms of design and history. Built on March 31, 1970, this particular car is one of only 1,117 produced, making the model a rarity. Ercole Spada's unique design for Zagato reflects a minimalist and aerodynamic style, characteristic of the collaboration between Alfa Romeo and the Italian coachbuilder. This example is finished in the attractive color Grigio Metallizzato, combined with a light green fabric upholstery, which creates a timeless and elegant look.

The car was imported from Italy in 1985 and has been in the possession of the same owner since 1989, attesting to years of careful ownership. The vehicle is in original and largely unrestored condition, with the exception of a previous new paint job. This authentic appearance adds to the car's charm and makes it a desirable choice for classic Alfa Romeo enthusiasts. The aluminum hood and doors highlight the focus on weight savings and performance, while the electrically opening tailgate is a practical and progressive detail.

Under the hood lies a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with dual Weber carburetors, good for 103 horsepower. This may seem modest, but thanks to a weight of only 980 kg, the Junior Zagato offers a dynamic driving experience and a top speed of 180 km/h. The five-speed manual transmission completes the picture and gives the driver full control over the engine. This model also features new tires on original 14-inch Alfa rims, adding to both safety and authenticity.

The interior exudes pure Alfa Romeo ambience with details such as the classic Nardi wood steering wheel and a functional radio. A main power switch is provided for added convenience. This car is not only a pleasure to look at, but also offers an excellent driving experience, whether you are driving it along winding roads or admiring it in your collection.

Thanks to its status as a road tax-free vehicle, this Alfa Romeo offers not only driving pleasure, but also practical benefits for classic car drivers. With its rarity and rich history, this model is a valuable addition for any car enthusiast or collector. The combination of elegant design, technical refinement and preservation of originality make this Junior Zagato an icon of the 1970s.
