Specifications
Description

The 1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III is an icon of British sports car history and one of the most beloved classic roadsters. Born from a collaboration between the small, specialized manufacturer Healey and the major player Austin, this model combined tough character with British elegance. Introduced in 1959 as the successor to the earlier 100-6, the 3000 series grew to become the most refined and powerful version of the "Big Healeys." The Mk III, produced from 1964 onward, was the pinnacle of this line and offered not only more power, but also a more comfortable and luxurious interior than its predecessors.

The engine is fed by two SU carburetors and mated to a four-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive, making for a pleasant driving experience, both on twisty back roads and long distances. The Phase 2 variant, like this one, was further refined with higher ground clearance, which made it better suited for varied road surfaces, making it popular with collectors and drivers.

What makes this Austin Healey interesting is its original and unrestored condition. In a world where many classics are restored to perfection, one that still retains its original charm is quite rare.

The Austin Healey 3000 Mk III has been one of the most sought-after British sports cars for decades and remains a beloved classic to this day. It is a car that offers the perfect balance of sportiness and elegance, with timeless design and a delightful driving experience. The raw charm of the six-in-line engine and open driving pleasure make it a car that evokes pure enthusiasm at every turn and straight stretch of asphalt.
