Specifications
Description

The 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 symbolizes ruggedness and off-road capability. Originating from the iconic Land Rover Series models of the late 1940s, the Defender was introduced in 1983 as the successor to the Series III. This model remained true to the brand's core values of durability, simplicity and off-road capability. The Defender 90, with its shorter wheelbase, was specifically designed for agility in difficult terrain and quickly became a favorite among adventurers, farmers and military personnel worldwide.

This 1995 example is in drivable condition, but will need maintenance before it is fully roadworthy again. Its distinctive angular design, signature grille and functional simplicity make it instantly recognizable as a classic Land Rover model. Built on a rugged ladder chassis, the Defender features an aluminum body, a choice originally made to minimize rust and make the vehicle lighter without sacrificing strength.

Under the hood, the Defender is typically equipped with a reliable diesel engine, known for its torque and efficiency in tough terrain. This 1995 model belongs to the last generation before the major mechanical and technological updates of later in the 1990s, offering a purist driving experience without unnecessary electronic systems. With its permanent all-wheel drive, high and low gearing and solid axles, it remains one of the most capable off-road vehicles ever built.

Although this example requires maintenance, the Defender 90 offers an excellent basis for restoration or further optimization. Parts availability is wide and the Defender community is large, making maintaining and improving this classic relatively easy. Moreover, the demand for classic Defenders remains undiminished, especially as original models are becoming rarer and increasing in value.
