Introduced in 1961, the Triumph TR4 represented an important step in the evolution of British sports cars. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, this car was known for its clean lines and rugged appearance. A successor to the TR3, the TR4 offered an improved driving experience with a more powerful 2.1-liter four-stroke engine, which was expected to generate 100 horsepower. This model was one of the first Triumph cars to offer the option of a hard hood, which increased versatility and facilitated driving in a variety of weather conditions.
